Bites Nearby: Galaxy Restaurant

Wadsworth restaurant has rooms and food to suit every mood.

Trapped by indecision with restaurant menus? The Galaxy could be the ultimate solution, or might simply make your head spin. Imagine a restaurant with a menu (and room) to match your every need. Casual or formal dining? Steaks or finger food? Ready for the Big Game? Highbrow café nosh? Need a banquet facility for a wedding or special event?

The Galaxy has all of this going on (and more) at their landing pad in Wadsworth, just off of I-76. Call it “truth in dining advertising,” because there are so many choices under one roof, your racing mind will be sent into orbit. With a Main Dining Room, a comfortable Wine Room, the gourmand Café Market, requisite Sports Bar & Patio and a Banquet Center, if you can’t find something, you might as well go home and open a can of soup. Each zone has its own unique menu and accompanying vibe.

Yep, this is a restaurant with a multiple personality disorder. Go upscale with steaks, seafood, chops and pasta, or devour casual wings and burgers in HDTV-enabled booths or on the summery outdoor patio.  The Galaxy hosts live entertainment, has a large scale water feature/fountain and the wine room—which feels like the nicest leather-clad den/study you’ve ever sat in—and a sharp wine list with vino events to match. Be sure to look up at the night sky on the ceiling once you’re inside. It’s not the Akron Civic ceiling, but it’s pretty cool. 201 Park Centre Dr., Wadsworth. 330.334.3663. Open daily for lunch and dinner. Menu prices vary by zone; consult online menus at www.galaxyrestaurant.com.
