Candidate Statement:Β

I am a strong advocate of public education. I am also a strong advocate of the Revere School District. I believe that excellent public education develops individuals, strengthens families, and enhances communities. I recognize that there are many within our district who choose to educate their children in a private institution, or at home. Β I respect their choice, and I am grateful we live in a nation where there is choice.Β But, I am also grateful that an excellent β€œchoice” in the Revere community is public, and can be embraced by all. My passion for public education, and for the excellent public education available at Revere, makes me a strong candidate for the Revere Board of Education.

Our family has lived in the district for 15-plus years. During that period, six of our eight children have attended and graduated from Revere. Our oldest child had graduated before we arrived, and our youngest daughter is now a freshman at RHS. Collectively we have accumulated 54 years of educational experience in the district! We have witnessed firsthand the incredible results of a Revere education. Our time, our experience, and the results haveΒ left me with a sincere desire to give back in a meaningful way. I want to do my part in maintaining and enhancing public education in the Revere community.
