Joyful Tastes of Life

The third annual Joyful Tastes of Life, a fun evening of wine and food tasting, will be held Thursday, October 11 from 6-9 p.m. at Todaro’s Party Center, 1820 Akron Peninsula Road, Akron. Hosted by the Akron General Foundation, the evening features wines from around the world and signature food items prepared by area restaurants (see list of participating vendors below). Sue Wilson, WQMX Morning Show Co-Host, and Tim Daugherty, WONE Morning Show Co-Host, will be emcees for the evening. Music, a silent auction and raffle for a $1,500 vacation package to The Greenbrier Resort in West Virginia round out the evening’s festivities. Only 1,500 raffle tickets are available. The Greenbrier getaway includes a three-night stay for two with complimentary breakfasts daily, and a $300 resort credit for food or activities.

Event tickets are $50 each and raffle tickets are $10 per ticket or 6 for $50. All tickets are available online at www.akrongeneral.org/joy or by calling the Akron General Foundation, 330-344-6888. The event raises funds for end-of-life patient care and supportive services at Hospice of Visiting Nurse Service.
