Musical Lessons from Earth's First Musicians

Crown Point Ecology Center is pleased to host Dr. Lisa
Rainsong, an instructor at the Cleveland Institute of Music and certified naturalist, in her presentation of Musical
Lessons from  Earth’s First Musicians
at Bath Church, 3980 West Bath Road, on April 7 at 2 p.m.    The presentation blends Dr. Rainsong’s musical talents with her passion for nature as she interprets field recordings of songbirds, amphibians and insects.

The fascinating, family-friendly educational program will entertain attendees with sounds and photographs of nature.   In addition, Dr. Rainsong will present a recording of one of her own compositions inspired by the sights and
sounds of nature.

In addition to being an instructor at the Cleveland Institute of Music and a certified naturalist, Dr. Rainsong is a
composer and soprano performing with groups such as Apollo’s Fire and Quire Cleveland.   Dr. Rainsong has been featured on WKSU and in a variety of professional journals.
