Mike Petee - - playwright, singer/songwriter and founder of the only year round Chautaugua in the state of Ohio hosted in Mount Vernon - - plays John Brown in jail after he is found guilty of treason, murder and attempted slave uprising. This character portrayal of the man whose actions sparked the Civil War provides insights into John Brown - - the abolitionist, husband, and father. This first of a three part Civil War lecture series is sponsored by Friends of Fairlawn Bath Library and hosted by the Bath Township Historical Society and Museums.
