Fairlawn Wallet Thief Cashes in at Apple Store

A teacher from Grand Blank, MI, had her wallet stolen while having a late lunch at a Fairlawn eatery, then discovered hours later that $900 in credit card charges had been rung up at the in .

The victim called at 6:58 p.m. Aug. 4 to report the theft of her wallet containing $160 in cash, as well as her ATM card and a credit card, several hours earlier at .

The 52-year-old woman told police she had briefly walked away from the table at Panera, leaving her purse hanging on a chair, to assist her daughter with carrying food.

When the woman returned to a home in Green, she discovered that someone had removed her Liz Claiborne wallet from her purse. She then contacted her credit card company and learned that a $900 charge had already been made at the Apple store in Fairlawn.
