Why Go: It's part of a series of free art exhibitions presented by the Crooked River Gang, a volunteer group of local artists. This month's exhibit is Up Close with Nature. Most of the artwork is available for purchase.

Why Go: It's a family friendly program that explores 19th century life on the Western Reserve, and introduces visitors to soldiers from the War of 1812.
Price: Admission is $10 for adults and seniors, $5 for children ages 3 to 12. Children 2 and under get in free.

Why Go: As part of Brecksville's bicentennial events, tour the inside of historic homes and gardens in Brecksville and Broadview Heights. You can pick up a tour book at the Old Town Hall.
