OHIO VETERAN'S MEMORIAL PARK POW/MIA REFLECTION POND WALL DEDICATION

It was a beautiful day for the people who attended the POW/MIA Reflection Pond Wall dedication. Β Three years in the making, the new wall atΒ this all volunteer-run park puts time and energy into keeping this one of the most beautiful parks in our area.

Today, September 21, 2013Β the ceremony included Ray Arnold, US Army, Vietnam; Gary Kindig, US Army, Vietnam; Chaplin James Scalf, Retired Navy; Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 717, Erin Maroon performing the National Anthem, John Hohne, Vern Westfall, US Air Force pilot, Vietnam; the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3345; Senator Frank LaRose, District 27, Vietnam Veterans of America, Chapter 717 and the Perry High School ROTC; American Legion Riders, Post 221.Β 

If you haven't taken the time to pay your respects to our military veterans, this park is welcoming, beautiful, and open 24 hours a day, 365 days per year. There are activities throughout the year which are posted online. Β Take a short drive to Clinton, take your family and children and see what you have been missing! Make this a family activity that illustrates that Freedom is not Free.Β Β Β Teach your children well.Β Β Β Β Β Β
