Play, Moonlight and Magnolias at Western Reserve Playhouse

Moonlight and Magnolias by Ron Hutchinson

A comedy set in the offices of David O. Selznick in 1939.  Production has been shut down for Gone With the Wind while he, Ben Hecht and Victor Fleming work to finish the script. He locks the doors, closes the shades and on a diet of bananas and peanuts, the three men labor over 5 days  to fashion a screenplay that will become a blueprint for the most successful and beloved films of all times.

At once, a slapstick comedy, an impassioned love song and a blazing critique of Hollywood emerges.
