City of Fairlawn Officially Brands Market Street as The 18 Corridor. The City of Fairlawn has branded their section of State Route 18, a 2.1 mile stretch along Market Street, officially as The 18 Corridor. With this branding effort, their goal is to attract more visitors and business to the city, and encourage them to take advantage of the many shops, businesses, restaurants and lodging. The campaign is also aiming to encourage tourists to stay in Fairlawn lodging when taking in the many sites in the Greater Cleveland and Greater Akron areas. The city will also use the effort to attract new businesses to locate or relocate to Fairlawn, while also encouraging redevelopment and updating of existing properties. There will be several programs put into motion in the next months and years to help achieve this goal. Planned marketing executions will include the development of traditional and online digital billboards, a social media campaign, several community related events, video development and public relations. Local businesses will also have multiple opportunities to partner with the city throughout the campaign. The City of Fairlawn launched a new website in conjunction with the branding effort, designed to promote local businesses and the programs they will be implementing. The new website can be accessed at www.The18Corridor.com. Businesses in the area will also be able to promote their business on the new website and The 18 Corridor social media platforms. The branding and subsequent marketing campaign was developed and is being managed by The Eisen Agency, a nationally award winning branding, marketing and media agency that works with destination points, municipalities and businesses.

Well, Regency Wine Sellers and Bar -- located at 115 Ghent Rd. -- might be just the place to relax, sip some fine wine and sample a few small plates.  Owner Susan Mozingo added the bar onto her existing wine shop in November, and says patrons have warmed to the quiet and elegant atmosphere.   Regency offers a large selection of wines from around the world, and serves caprese skewers, artison flatbreads and other <a href="http://www.regencywinesellers.com/wine-snacks.html" rel="noopener nofollow" target="_blank">"wine snacks"</a> to complement the libations.  "People have really responded to the food and wine selection, and dark and cozy atmosphere," said Mozingo. " Fairlawn City Council responded favorably to bringing a wine bar to Fairlawn and approved Mozingo's plan to expand into the former Distinctions building last spring, she said. The wine shop and bar also features several craft beers and an assortment of liquors.
