1. A Fairlawn man was denied an Ohio Edison account because someone had stolen his identity and racked up more than $800 in past-due bills at a home in Akron.

2. A thief pickpocketed a Michigan woman's wallet at a Fairlawn eatery, then apparently made a beeline to the in and charged $900 in purchases to her credit card.

3. A manager at the Circle K south store in Bath was fired after admitting to helping himself to bank deposit funds over the past two months.
