Summit Mall Taking Part In Susan G. Komen Movement

From Simon Malls: Summit Mall continues its engagement as one of five national sponsors of Susan G. Komen®, encouraging employees, retailers and shoppers to participate in activities and contribute to the achievement of Komen’s bold goal of reducing current U.S. breast cancer deaths by 50 percent by 2026.

“Our shoppers, retailers and employees have demonstrated their support and commitment to Susan G. Komen over the last two years by participating in all of our fundraising activities,” said Dean Phillips, Summit Mall manager. “We look forward to another successful campaign this year and are focused on fighting a disease that affects so many in our community.”

Visitors to Summit Mall will notice the pink theme carried out throughout the center and staff will be honoring National Breast Cancer Awareness Month by donning pink accessories. Other planned activities include:

Discount Card Program: $5 Discount Cards will be sold at participating centers providing 15% or 25% off one item at participating retailers. All proceeds from the sale of Discount Cards go to Susan G. Komen.

Gift Cards: Simon is offering a Susan G. Komen Visa® Simon Giftcard. For every Gift Card purchased, Simon will donate $1 towards Susan G. Komen.**

Summit Mall's Wall of Strength - White and pink ribbons are available for a small donation and can then be personalized and added to Summit Mall's Wall of Strength, located in the Food Court concourse. White ribbons are just $2.00 and pink ribbons are just $5.00. All money raised will be donated to Susan G. Komen.

Dewey’s Dine for a Cause: Susan G. Komen will benefit from a Dine to Donate evening on October 23 from 4 p.m. to close at Dewey’s Pizza at the Summit Mall. Diners must print the flyer or show the flyer on their phone at time of purchase. The flyer is available on the Summit Mall website (www.shopsummitmall.com) under News & Events.

More than Pink Wishing Well: Susan G. Komen will also benefit from the More Than Pink Wishing Well located at the main entrance in the Food Court where shoppers can donate their change.
