The fun future of 3-d printing

Can it really be that fun?

As I sat down to watch the NBA finals last night a thought struck me.
There are always those moments in sports that you know we will never be able to duplicate that encapsulate a special feeling of encouragement and hope that  pictures or even video don't do justice. Last night it was Tony Parker's last second shot, as a basketball fan I looked around the court to see where everyone was. Which players were staring at the play unfolding and preparing for the aftermath thereafter. I see a future where the NBA would make this a 3-d image available for a nominal price for fans. From there you could take it to your local library or maker shop get it printed and begin your own fan museum curated by you of special moments of your fandom down through the years.

Creatives will push the industry but the masses will catapult it. Please share innovations that you desire in the future.
