• Wilmington Post investigating fatal traffic crash involving horse-drawn carriage (highlandcountypress.com) — A Greenfield man suffered minor injuries in a tragic crash Monday evening on State Route 138 in Paint Township, where his pickup struck the rear of a horse-drawn carriage. The 85-year-old Hillsboro carriage operator later died at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center, and the Ohio State Highway Patrol continues to investigate with help from local Highland County agencies.
   

• Dayton man convicted of 22 counts in 'biggest fentanyl case that Highland County has ever had' (newsbreak.com) — A massive fentanyl trafficking case tied closely to Greenfield drug activity ended with a Dayton man sentenced to at least 54 years in prison for supplying local dealers. Testimony detailed how Greenfield users and sellers regularly called their source from town, drove to Dayton for ounce-level buys, and brought large quantities back, which officials say fueled serious addiction and crime in Highland County.
