• Historic theatre in Ohio hosts first movie screening in more than 50 years (kyma.com) — Ironton's historic Ro-Na Theatre has finally brought movies back to town after more than 50 years, thanks in part to a $50,000 T-Mobile grant for a new screen. Friends of Ironton volunteers spent nearly two decades restoring the building, celebrating the milestone with a community screening of "We Are Marshall" and planning more film showings ahead.
• Lawrence County's lowest premium gas price recorded at $4.89 for week ending Sept. 19 (southohionews.com) — Premium gas in Lawrence County recently dipped as low as $4.89 per gallon, with Ironton, Coal Grove, South Point, and Proctorville all listed among the tracked cities. For Ironton drivers, the report shows local prices slightly under the Ohio average of $5.44, while also explaining how global oil markets and refinery issues keep fuel costs volatile this year.
