Helen McDonald turns 90 years young on Saturday February 25, 2012. She was born in Cleveland Ohio to John Ballard (first Black prosecutor in Cleveland or Ohio) and Helen Huston Ballard a school teacher. She raised four children Estella Nickens, Anthony McDonald, Linda UmBayemake and Stanley J. McDonald. She trained as a Registered Nurse after her divorce from Charles M. McDonald.
