The Portage Cyclery is a proud sponsor of the Eastern Ohio Time Trial Series. The series is comprised of time trials exclusively and ranks racers based on results of 5 time trial races. Racers can compete in as few or as many of these 5 races as they wish. 3 of the 5 races must be attended in order to qualify for the championship prizes. This event is held in Deerfield and is a 20K “out and back” race with some rolling hills.
Sam Brode broke the course record for the female 40-49 year old category with a time of 29:57. Jennifer Bruder finished second with a personal best of 32:26. Jennifer Bruder resides in Kent and is a part-time employee of The Portage Cyclery. Jennifer is a triathlete and is training to compete in some upcoming triathlons.
The Eastern Ohio Time Trial Series and The Portage Cyclery are advocates of The Portage Park District and the promotion of healthy lifestyles, recreation and activity through the use of bicycles.
