State Rep. Clyde Receives Young Leader Award

COLUMBUS- State Representative Kathleen Clyde received the inaugural Progressive Young Leadership Award from the Columbus lawyer chapter of the American Constitution Society (ACS) last night at their annual reception.  The Progressive Young Leadership Award is bestowed upon an individual, “whose early commitment to upholding the fundamental values of the Constitution as an example to all that follow.”

“In the short time that she has been in the legislature, Representative Clyde has done an outstanding job representing her constituents and standing up for the people of Ohio,” said Rob Krummen, President of the Columbus Lawyer Chapter of the American Constitution Society and attorney with a Columbus law firm.  “ACS can think of no person more deserving to give this award.”

ACS is one of the nation’s leading progressive legal organizations.  Founded in 2001, ACS is a rapidly growing network of lawyers, law students, scholars, judges, policymakers, and other concerned individuals.  Their mission is to promote the vitality of the U.S. Constitution and the fundamental values it expresses: individual rights and liberties, genuine equality, access to justice, democracy, and the rule of law.
