Bowman Breakfast Addresses Medical Research and Education

Spring breakfast held this morning at Kent State Ballroom

"Medical Research and Education: Good for the Health of Ohioans … Good for the Health of Ohio's Economy," was the title of Jay A. Gershen's speech this morning at the Bowman Breakfast on the campus.

Gershen, president of Northeastern Ohio Universities Colleges of Medicine and Pharmacy, recently oversaw a change in the moniker for the medical school, which is located in Rootstown.

The Ohio House approved the school's name change to Northeast Ohio Medical University, or NEOMED, Wednesday afternoon.
