Heritage Festival and the Haymaker Farmers Market
Haymaker Farmers Market will be open during the Heritage Festival - check out Kent Environmental Council's raffle basket featuring $200 worth of product and gift certificates from market vendors!
This week Haymaker Farmers Market shares the Saturday downtown spotlight with Kent’s annual Heritage Festival.
Festival attendees should be sure to stop by the Kent Environmental Council’s (KEC) living green space booth to fill out a survey and get entered into the raffle for several wonderful prizes. One is a Support Your Local Farmers and Producers Basket – filled with $200 worth of products and gift certificates from Haymaker Farmers Market vendors. Winners may redeem certificates at any time during the 2011 market season, which ends Oct. 29.
Franklin Avenue will be blocked off between Main Street and College Street, but the market’s street-side parking will still be available, and there is extra parking in the back of the market lot. Rest assured, the market will be open with plenty of fresh, local produce, including raspberries, salad greens, peas, kale and chard, apples, and hot house tomatoes and zucchini.
