Oh Me, Oh My, Time for a Slice of Humble Pie

SCRATCH, free range food KickStarter campaign succeeds with the support of the community, and needy hungry people get healthy, local food to eat with DIGNITY.

Hey Friends, WE DID IT!  Thanks to the love and support from so many of YOU, the SCRATCH, free range food KickStarter was a success.

It's still sinking in, but I'm having a hard time processing all the good will that's been sent my way.  If I was approached to contribute to a venture like this before now, I don't know how I would have reacted.  I think I would have said to myself, this is a free enterprise enconomy.  Why should I give someone a leg up if they can't do it themselves? But so many of you DID, and that's just incredible to me.  After this experience, I think my answer would change.

I'm feeling so very humbled by this experience, I need to do something to give back.  I've promised many rewards, and those will be forthcoming, but I'm left feeling like that's not enough.  I need to repay the good Karma that's been sent my way.

I've promised a few meals to the needy in Portage County through people who pledged, but in my mind, that's not enough either.  My solution is to keep donating food to hungry folks in Portage County through the Center of Hope in Ravenna as often as possible, indefinitely.   I've worked out the particulars with them and will be continuing to donate healthy, local prepared meals and they are thrilled to receive them.  These will be meals ready to go that folks who could use a helping hand can take home and plop in the microwave and eat healthy, local food with dignity in the comfort of their own space.

Thanks again for all the support, and for tolerating my incessant droning on about this project.  God Bless you guys!  Meal deliveries to local customers and to the hungry will start in one week.
