Baked in the Village Cafe, formerly the Backerei, is open for business.
It's been a long time coming, and Andrea is back!
The new is open for business as of today. Andrea is all smiles, people are eating pastries, soup and sandwiches, and the sun is shining.
I've seen Andrea selling her goods at the Haymaker Farmers' Market over the past several months and have asked repeatedly, and possibly annoyingly, "when?"

Today I got my answer, and a couple of cookies for my kids. I saw an amazing pretzel roll with cheese, bacon and egg on it and nearly snatched it up. (I took a picture instead.) It's good to see Andrea settling back in downtown Kent. Make sure to stop and see the new cafe, and get something delicious for yourself — or your kids — or your boss.
