Comedian Mike Polk Jr. will visit the Kent State University Bookstore located in the Kent Student Center in Kent, Ohio on Thursday, Nov. 29 from noon-2 p.m. to meet and greet fans and autograph copies of his new book, Damn Right I'm from Cleveland. The event is free and open to the public. Polk's book is a rustbelt satire lampooning Cleveland's quirks, including the city's boundless obsession with disappointing sports teams, Cleveland's nonstop quest to reinvent its civic image, and a grab-bag collection of odd local celebrities. Sections are devoted to such "timely" topics as: "Riding the RTA: A Fascinating Cultural Experience"; "A Cleveland Enemies Hall of Fame"; "A Comparison of Three Area Gentlemen’s Clubs"; and "A Remake of Cleveland’s Own Flag" to name a few.
