Few things are as earth-shattering as finding out that you could have cancer. Imagine if you'd have to battle it three times? Area police dispatcher, Sara Anweiler is doing just that.
The Kent State University Police Department is hosting “Dine And Dance For Sara”, a benefit dinner dance for Kent State University and Brimfield Township Emergency Services Dispatcher Sara Anweiler. Sara was diagnosed with breast cancer in early 2009 and promptly started her treatments. During the early stages of her treatments she was diagnosed clear from any cancer. As she finished her treatments, the cancer returned. After 7 rounds of chemotherapy, 3 surgeries, and 36 rounds of radiation she was finally clear of cancer again in 2010. In February of 2011, Sara was diagnosed with cancer for the third time. She is currently undergoing treatment and awaiting further information from her doctors.
Come show your support for a local cancer warrior. The tickets are $30.00 each, presale only, and include appetizers, pasta dinner buffet (pasta, salad, veggie, bread, dessert, coffee, water, hot and iced tea).
