ESCAPE was formed in June 1993. Singer Jason Kelty sang 'Stone in Love' in a previous cover band and was able to replicate Steve Perry's voice to such a degree that the idea of forming a Journey tribute band seemed inevitable.
From 1993 to 1999, ESCAPE paid tribute to one of rock history's most-loved bands in front of thousands of fans nationwide!
ESCAPE is still known today on the internet as the original and still the best Journey tribute band to ever exist.
Today, after 11 years ESCAPE has reunited to recreate the magic of a Journey concert like no one else can. The band covers the music with a note-for-note accuracy that's second to none and performs each show with the high-energy excitement of a real Journey concert.
Focusing on the 'Steve Perry era', ESCAPE covers every hit from 'Lights' and 'Wheel In The Sky' to 'Separate Ways' and 'Be Good To Yourself' including occasional surprises for the die-hard Journey fans.
