Robinson Memorial Hospital is hosting a traveling exhibition titled Opening Doors: Contemporary African American Academic Surgeons that highlights the contributions of African American academic surgeons to medicine and medical education and tells the stories of pioneering African American surgeons and educators who exemplify excellence in their fields. The exhibit banners are on display in the atrium next to the radiology department, across from the surgery waiting area.
The exhibition is a collaborative effort between the National Library of Medicine and the Reginald F. Lewis Museum of Maryland African American History and Culture in Baltimore.
