The April dinner meeting of The Garden Club of Kent will be April 22 at the United Methodist Church, Pierson Meeting Room, 1435 East Main Street, Kent, Ohio. Dinner is served at 6:30pm and the program begins at 7:30pm. Dinner reservations are required by the previous Friday. Call Harold at 330-673-1686 to reserve. The public is welcome. The second annual Mother’s Day Hanging Basket sale will be Friday, May 10 and Saturday, May 11, from 9AM-6PM, at the Ode to Joy, 480 Ravenna Road, Streetsboro, Ohio. Many locally grown, hanging baskets of lovely flowers will be available. The Club accepts cash, checks, and credit cards. The Garden Club of Kent is a not-for-profit organization. Proceeds from the Mother’s Day Hanging Basket sale and the Annual Plant Sale support scholarships for students studying horticulture or conservation and Project Green, a gardening program for youth with special needs.
