
C.A.R.E. Event to Share Information about
Recovery from Addiction
Ravenna, Ohio September 14, 2012 – C.A.R.E. , Inc. (Citizens for Addiction Recovery and Education) is presenting “Hope for Recovery from Addiction” on Saturday, September 22 from 7 p.m. – 9 p.m. at the Ravenna High School. This event is free and open to the public. Organizers hope to reach Portage County residents who have a loved one or friend dealing with substance abuse issues to let them know that there is hope and recovery is possible.

The event will feature speakers who have recovered from substance abuse problems and family members who have dealt with the pain of having a loved one with a substance abuse problem. A local physician from Robinson Memorial Hospital, one of the event sponsors, will also share information about addiction.
The event is aimed at helping those dealing with these issues realize they are not alone and that there are resources available to help in Portage County. The program will provide the opportunity to talk with other families and agencies who can offer assistance and support within the community.
