Introduction to the WWW is the second in the 6-week Computer Class at the Kent Free Library. The series of 6 core classes take attendees from a very basic introduction to computers, through navigating the Internet, and then using Microsoft Word. Each class builds upon the previous classes, and attendees are encouraged to practice new skills between classes.
For anyone who's ever been told "you can find that on our website," and not known how to do that, this class will show them how. Attendees will hear a brief history of the rise of the Web and an overview of who's using it today and how. The class will cover how to go to websites and navigate them. Finally, attendees will begin to learn how to find information through surfing the web.
