Kent State’s Institute for Applied Linguistics Hosts Leading Translation Studies Scholar
Kent State University’s Institute for Applied Linguistics will host Anthony Pym, a leading translation studies scholar, during the third annual Gregory M. Shreve Lecture Series. Pym will speak about radical asymmetry in cross-cultural communication on Friday, Nov. 30, at 3:30 p.m. in Room 112-A in Satterfield Hall. This event is free and open to the public. Pym is a professor of translation and intercultural studies, and coordinator of the Intercultural Studies Group at Rovira i Virgili University in Tarragona, Spain. The Gregory M. Shreve Lecture Series is made possible through the generosity of Kent State alumni, faculty members and friends of the Institute for Applied Linguistics.
