Playfully termed a "Knits-vah", this is a fun and instrucitonal event. Kent State knitters will create blankets for the Warm Up America program. All donated knitted squares will warm resident of Akron's battered women's shelter and other local charities.
The group also hosts a brown bag community service project, participants knit hats and scarves for those serving in the military, international refugees and others in need.
