This is an open event with campus and local community members. There will be cultural entertainment in the Kiva from 1-1:45 p.m. then the Diversity Trailblazer Award ceremony will begin in the Student Center Ballroom at 2:15 p.m. with special guest speaker Dr. Marc Lamont Hill. His presentation is called Empowering the Individual, Strengthening the Community. He is the author of "Beats, Rhymes, and Classroom Life: Hip-Hop Pedagogy and the Politics of Identity."
