There are 9 new injection well permits pending in Portage County--these are wells where hydrofracking waste water not only from Ohio, but also PA and WV even TX will be pumped underground to be "stored". We are on our way to being the county in Ohio with the most injection wells which means the most trucks carrying the poisonous toxins on our roads and the biggest underground time bomb...and, remember the earthquake in Youngstown?
ONDR has refused to hold a public hearing until after the end of the public comment period. This is unacceptable! People need information now in order to best comment. So, we are having our own public hearing with experts to help us understand this situation and the permitting process that's happening to us.
