Join David Hassler, the Director of The Kent State University Wick Poetry Center, for a conversation about the poetry of W. S. Merwin. U.S. Poet Laureate and Pulitzer Prize winner Merwin will be at Kent State University on Monday, October 10 for two events, which are free and open to the public. Packets of Merwin's poems will be available in advance at the library (or download here), however, no previous knowledge of the poet's work is necessary to attend the conversation or campus events.
Registration is not necessary, but requested; please contact the Reference Desk at 330.673.4414 or kflinfo@kentfreelibrary.org.
This is the first of a series of discussions sponsored by the Wick Poetry Center accompanying the Wick Poetry Series. Prior to each poetry reading, members of the Kent State community will host a discussion on the work of the visiting poet at the Kent Free Library.
