The Children’s Advocacy Center of Portage County is pleased to announce a cost-effective training: “Darkness to Light - Stewards of Children”. This short, practical, and eye-opening program educates adults to prevent, recognize, and react responsibly to child sexual abuse.

The Children’s Advocacy Center of Portage County served 169 children in 2010 and 648 in the last 5 years. All of these children were involved in reports of sexual abuse and nearly all of them live in Portage County.
The next training is October 5, 2011 ~ 4 pm to 7pm

The class is $10 and includes Continuing Education Credits, if needed, for RN’s, Teachers, Social Workers, Counselors and Marriage & Family Therapists. Pre-registration is required. Registration form is attached.
