Wick Poetry Center Features Hugh Martin and Maggie Smith

This event will be located in the Wick Poetry Center, located on the second floor of the main library on the Kent campus. Hear Hugh Martin, a soldier from Iraq as he recounts passages from his collection, So How Was the War? 

Also speaking will be Maggie Smith, author of Lamp of the Body (Red Hen Press, 2005), winner of the Benjamin Saltman Poetry Award. Smith also wrote Nesting Dolls (Pudding House, 2005), was winner of the Pudding House Chapbook Competition, and then wrote The List of Dangers(Kent State University Press, 2010), winner of the 2009 Wick Chapbook competition for Ohio poets.
