Giving to Those Who Gave (GTTWG) is a charity that collects donations for homeless veterans in Kent, Ohio. The Winter 2013 event is like no other GTTWG event before. This year the plan is to be more of a social event and less of a drop off event. There will be tee shirt sales, 50/50 raffle, Christmas movies playing, and free cookies and hot cocoa (or coffee if you're a coffee person). We accept any and all donations. This could be anywhere from food items to hygiene items, to gift cards. After receiving the donations, Giving to Those Who Gave packages those donations and wraps them into nice Christmas Care Packages for the Freedom House. The Freedom House is a homeless veterans shelter located right here in Kent Ohio! We want to stress again that we accept ANY AND ALL donations, whatever you can bring! There is no minimum or maximum amount. There are no specific items, however there is a wish list that is put out by the Freedom House that will be posted to the website. We encourage everyone to stop by even to socialize, have fun, and watch Christmas movies! Come see what Giving to Those Who Gave is all about and the passion that we have for those who serve our country. The event this year is December 21st 2013 from 2:00pm-5:00pm at the Kent United Church of Christ. Hope to see you all there!
