Kent Girls' Soccer Team Shuts Out the Tigers

One goal was all it took as the Lady Riders defeated Cuyahoga Falls' Black Tigers 1-0

Kent Roosevelt senior midfielder-defender Maggie Connell's goal off a corner kick by sophomore midfielder-defender Katie Mohnacky about three minutes into the game was all the Lady Rough Riders needed to beat the Cuyahoga Falls Black Tigers on Saturday afternoon.

And it was fitting as the game was largely a defensive match.

"We did some things good, we did some things bad," said Kent Roosevelt girls' soccer head coach Leslie Neice after Saturday's shutout of Cuyahoga Falls. "We're still working out some kinks in the new system ... we have a lot of new players on varsity."
