NEOMED Raises $127,499 From Donors
A record-breaking 184 donors contributed to the 24-hour online campaign.

From NEOMED: As Northeast Ohio Medical University prepared for the final 12 months of Shine On, its $40 million comprehensive fundraising campaign, the University did not want to lose sight of its single-biggest annual fund day of the year: NEOMED Giving Day. On June 7, NEOMEDβs community didnβt disappoint. A record-breaking 184 donors gave a total of $127,499 during NEOMEDβs 24-hour online giving campaign, called the Huntington Quadruple Challenge.
NEOMEDβs Giving Day was supported for the third year in a row by a matching gift from Huntingtonβa key catalyst in the past to encourage more donors. NEOMEDβs goal was to increase the Universityβs number of donors on Giving Day and raise a total of $140,000, which would equal four times the challenge of this yearβs $35,000 gift.
The NEOMED community responded favorably, with a 10 percent increase in the number of gifts compared with last year. While the University didnβt quite reach the dollar amount it hoped would result from the increased number of gifts, it was thrilled to see that the number of people who gave exceeded last yearβs record of 167 donors.

βHuntingtonβs challenge led to yet another successful Giving Day for the NEOMED community. Our increased number of donors and the heartfelt giving by all was extremely satisfying,β said Craig Eynon, director of alumni relations and annual giving. βThe word is spreading about our treasured students, who are for and from Ohio. We look forward to these final 12 months of raising funds for our Shine On campaign, which makes the future look even brighter for us to advance students, innovation and research, and community health.β
