12 Year Old Finalist in Frito-Lay Dreamvention for her Shoe Purse

Grace Murphy, granddaughter of Michael Berichon of Westlake, has been named 1 of 5 national finalists in Frito-Lay's dreamvention contest. Grace was selected from over 13,000 entries for her Shoe Purse invention. If voted the final winner, she will win $250,000 and a mentoring session with Robert Herjavec of the Shark Tank. The winner is determined by public voting.

Grace’s design of the Shoe Purse attaches to the back of a shoe and can safely store valuables such as cash, jewelry or keys while on the go. The inspiration for the Shoe Purse comes from Grace needing to store jewelry that she forgot to remove before a soccer game. Grace lost a pair of sentimental earrings given to her by her grandfather, Mike Berichon, and never wanted to have that feeling again- Hence the Shoe Purse was born!
