14 Surveillance Cameras To be Installed In Lakewood
The Lakewood Board of Control approved the acquisition of 14 new surveillance cameras.
LAKEWOOD, OH — The Lakewood Board of Control recently approved the purchase of 14 new surveillance cameras to be installed throughout the city.
A Lakewood police spokesperson confirmed the cameras are being installed, though installation won't be completed until late summer or early fall.
The cameras will be purchased through U.S. Protective Services for $63,759, according to documents obtained by Patch. The funds for the project will be pulled from the 2020 Capital Lease program.

Everstream has been contracted to extend the citywide fiber network to the 14 new cameras, according to a memo sent by Michael Coletta. The total cost of that portion of the project was $64,422, also to be paid from the 2020 Capital Lease program.

Ward 2 Councilperson Jason Shachner said this is the fifth straight year Lakewood has been able to install new surveillance cameras.
