Agostino's Sushi Rock Opens In Lakewood

LAKEWOOD, OH — Lakewood's rich culinary scene got a little richer Monday. Agostino's Sushi Rock opened up at 15607 Madison Avenue. A grand opening ceremony was held at 5 p.m., officially marking the restaurant's debut in the community.

The restaurant promises to be a new take on sushi. The company said in a statement that dining at Agostino's Sushi Rock will be a wholly unique experience for Northeast Ohioans.

The menu will include some nods to Agostino's Italian menu, along with a selection of small plate and chef's offering, as well.

Work on the new Sushi Rock started Oct. 1, according to a statement from the business. A group of partners, led by restaurateur Joe Gallo (of Agostino's Ristorante in Brooklyn, Ohio), led the way for Agostino's Sushi Rock in Lakewood.

“We are excited to reinvigorate the Sushi Rock brand alongside our Agostino’s menu and chef’s specialties.” states Gallo. “This is going to be Sushi Rock alongside the classic Italian offerings Agostino’s has been known for, and some signature small plates and other weekly menu surprises," Gallo said.

Besides offering standard dine-in, the restaurant will also have carry-out options for customers. Patrons who want to check out the ambiance in-person can enjoy the musical styles of different acts that will be brought in.

Lakewood Mayor Mike Summers, along with a bevy of other important guests, were on-hand for the ceremonial ribbon cutting on Monday night. Attendees were able to enjoy free wine and sushi to commemorate the opening.
