Time Warner Cable SportsChannel announced today that it will broadcast the marquee interstate basketball matchup between Cleveland St. Edward and Mater Dei, of Santa Ana, Calif., live at 8 p.m. on Monday. Jan. 21.
The game will air throughout Ohio on channel 311 and 1311, with Dave Bacon and Akron Firestone coach Dave Milo calling all the action. It will also be carried live on Time Warner Cable in southern California on SoCal101 in Los Angeles and Channel 411 in San Diego.
Mater Dei (17-0), the two-time defending California state champion, is traveling from Orange County to Cleveland for the game, which will be a homecoming of sorts for senior Elijah Brown, who played at St. Ed’s as a freshman. He moved to California when his father, Mike, accepted the Lakers head coaching position after five years with the Cavaliers.

Coming off a 69-66 victory over Beachwood on Saturday, the St. Edward Eagles are now 9-3 under head coach Eric Flannery, who is in his 16th season at the helm of his alma mater.
