Beck Center Wins Several Awards For 2018 Shows
"Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?" and "Hair" were both recognized for excellence this year.

LAKEWOOD, OH — The Cleveland Critics Circle awards were announced this week. The Beck Center took home several awards for productions that ran in 2018, most notably "Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?"
The award committee is composed of Cleveland-area theater critics. This year's committee was Bob Abelman, Roy Berko, Kerry Clawson, Howard Gollop, Mark Horning, Christine Howey, Laura Kennely and Andrea Simakis.

- Superior achievement, actor in a non-musical production (Michel Mauldin)
- Superior achievement, actress in a non-musical production (Derdriu Ring)
- Superior achievement, director of a non-musical production (Donald Carrier)
- Superior achievement, scenic design (Aaron Benson)

Kasumi was also recognized for superior achievement in projection design for Beck's production of "Hair".
