Beck Center's Youth Theater Debuting Alice's Adventures in Wonderland Nov. 3

The production is the youth theater's first show of the 2016-2017 season.

LAKEWOOD, OH — The Beck Center's Youth Theater will present its first production of the 2016-2017 season, Alice's Adventures in Wonderland, Nov. 3-6 in the Mackey Theater.

With a cast of 36 Beck Center students ages 7 to 19, this family-friendly production is directed by Russel Stich. “The 2016-2017 season includes many classics with wonderful educational tie-ins,” remarked Associate Director of Youth Theater Education Jonathan Kronenberger. “There is a direct literary connection for Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland, and a plethora of beloved characters for our wide age range of students to research and play.”

This production is adapted by Tim Kelly from the story Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland by Lewis Carroll. In this timeless tale, Alice follows the White Rabbit into a world of talking flowers, comic royalty, and continually circling races. Along the way she must deal with the Mad Hatter’s frantic tea party, a mysteriously disappearing Cheshire Cat, and the never ending bickering from Tweedledee and Tweedledum – all before attending a trial where she suddenly finds herself accused.
