Best Kept Secret Restaurants In Lakewood: Readers Sound Off

LAKEWOOD, OH — Lakewood's restaurant scene is well-regarded in Northeast Ohio. There are plenty of iconic, staple restaurants that get a lot of, deserved, attention — Cleveland Vegan, Deagan's, and Forage to name a few. But we wanted to know...what are the restaurants that deserve more attention?

Patch asked readers in Lakewood to tell us which restaurant was the best kept secret in town. The Shore, on Detroit Avenue, got the most votes, by far. But there were plenty of nominations and plenty of votes. (Notably, this was not a scientific poll. We merely asked readers on Facebook to share their thoughts.)

Patch's Ohio Editor Chris Mosby didn't vote in the contest. If he had, he might have cast a ballot for India Garden — where he went on his first date with his wife. Sentimentality aside, the food is great. He was glad to see it get mentioned here.
