When struck with the scariness – and then difficulty – of a having a food allergy or stark dietary restrictions it’s a relief to know that there is a place to go that won’t be harboring all sorts of hidden ingredients.

The Root has a great menu and fabulous fare – offering daily soup options, sandwiches, burritos and pizzas, as well as vegan-friendly pastries all stemming from local growers and purveyors.
