On Sat. Oct. 26, on the traditionally fast Tiffin Cross Country Course held at Hedges-Boyer Park, in Tiffin, OH, Lakewood High School Senior Nick Boatman ran an exceptional race, finishing 5th overall in a very competitive Div. 1 Boys Regional Cross Country Meet, qualifying for the OHSAA State Cross Country Meet.
Running a PR, Nick's time of 15:51 places him as the 9th fastest All Time 5K time in LHS XC history, which dates back to 1928.
An excellent student, Nick has maintained a GPA above 3.5, thus earning All Ohio Academic Honors as well.
Nick will be racing in the OHSAA Div. 1 State Cross Country Meet at 3:00pm on Sat. Nov. 2 at National Trail Raceway in Hebron, OH.
