Booths Needed For Lakewood Community Festival
The 30th Annual Lakewood Community Festival will be held Sept. 7. The city is looking for organizations to fill out the celebration.

LAKEWOOD, OH — The 30th Annual Lakewood Community Festival will return to the city on Sept. 9 in Madison Park. Running from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., the celebration will include food, family-friendly activities, and booths from local organizations. All proceeds from the festival are donated to local organizations.
The city announced on Tuesday that it was accepting applications from organizations interested in featuring a booth at the festival. Applications are available at Lakewood City Hall, 12650 Detroit Ave., and online.
The application for the event specifically says that booths tend to be used by churches, groups and community organizations that are seeking a way to promote themselves. The booths will frequently feature nationally-relevant foods or various crafts.

Applications for booths are due by Aug. 11. Groups must indicate what they intend to sell at the festival, to avoid duplicate booths. The city also notes that selling carbonated soft drinks and bottled water is a right reserved for the Lakewood Community Festival.
The Community Festival is a celebration of Lakewood's diverse ethnic and cultural communities. The three decade long celebration will go on, rain or shine, on Sept. 7.
