Calling Lakewood to Support 'Grog for Dogs' Event

This Wednesday you are going to .

You will drink beer or some other beverage of your choosing. You will eat pizza and buy some 50/50 and gift basket raffle tickets. You will enjoy the DJ and be dazzled by our the celebrity bartenders.

The question you may be asking yourself is: Why should I take time out of my busy week to have fun and possibly win money in the process? The answer is that by enjoying what may possibly be the best night of your life will help to save puppy's lives.

All Dog's Heaven isn't your average dog rescue group.

It is the dream of a woman, Missy Porterfield-Limkemann, to help dogs. ADH isn't just about finding homes for the cute, healthy easy going dogs but simply dogs that need help (though some of them are pretty darn cute.) She finds the right people for the right dogs eliminating the "impulse buying" the permeates the dog adoption today.

She educates both her adopting families and the community on the needs of the dogs.

Dogs of many needs are rehabilitated through All Dogs Heaven. You may remember Skyler in our first edition of Meet the Fosters. He is home from the vet, happy and well. The $3000 bill that came back with him wasn't as warmly welcomed.

The briefly famous "dumpster puppies" were also rescued by ADH. She has even taken on the job of rehabilitating a Chinese-crested who spent her first 5 years of life being breed in a puppy mill. Due to the great mental anguish of almost never leaving a small cage for a half decade, this poor dog may spend the rest of her life with ADH. Helping these dogs obviously takes a lot of work and requires a lot of people's help.

All Dogs Heaven is supported through a group of volunteers, fosters and you.

ADH is a non-profit organization that is only able to meet all its needs through donations. So that is why you must eat pizza for $1 a slice, partake of beverage whose tips will pay for puppy stitches and buy 50/50 raffle tickets (possibly winning back your pizza money).

We need you to have fun and help us save dogs. If you don't show, then dogs like Skyler may not be able to get the help they need, puppies may never find the little boy they were meant to be with and you will not get to have fun this Wednesday night. So come meet Missy one of the celebrity bartenders, have some pizza for pups and some Grog for Dogs.
